Alloy Steel CEO Gene Kostecki responded to my e-mail asking whether he’d consider filing an 8-K or holding a conference call to elaborate on the company’s most recent quarterly filing. Gene said he and his new CFO, Barry Woodhouse, would be willing to speak with me by phone. We’ve scheduled that call for 9pm Hackensack time, next Tuesday August 24th / 9am Perth Time next Wednesday, August 25th Update: this call has been rescheduled for 9pm Monday August 30th, New York time. I told Gene I’d solicit questions from other shareholders in the meantime, so if you have a question you’d like me to ask, please leave it in the comment thread below.
If Gene, Barry, and I do speak as scheduled next Tuesday night (Hackensack time), I’ll post notes on our conversation later that night.
I picked up a few more shares of AYSI at $1.07 today. I still have some questions about the recent personnel changes, the weak quarter, etc., but the stock does seem cheap here, trading at about 6x what it’s earned in the first three quarters of its fiscal year.
