Looks like we’re finally ready to start the PPC marketing campaign for Short Screen, after some site changes recommended by my SEM team. Here’s a quick summary of them:
– Dynamically updated “Recent Posts” on the home page have been replaced by static “Sample Posts”. The SEM folks did not like the lack of control of the dynamically updating posts on the home page, since it allowed for the possibility of malicious content and negative SEO terms appearing on the home page. Implementing this change proved to be the biggest headache, because the initial solution proposed by the SEM team would have required structural changes to the site. Problem solved, though. To view new message board posts, you can simply click one of the three links to the message boards on the home page.
– Testimonials. A page of them has been added, with a prominent link to that page on the home page.
– Explication of security features on the Join Page. This is where a fresh pair of eyes helped. Added the Authorize.net Verified Merchant Seal. Also, added an explanation of the secure online payment process.
