Steam Catapult - Launching Innovation

I just happened to read this article from the Sunday Times about online advertising. You've probably seen it, but it couldn't hurt posting it again in case you hadn't.

I actually hadn't seen that article, so thanks. The sort of ads the article describes are something of a different animal though — those are for local, store-front businesses, where the clientele is limited to a particular geographic area. I've had members join Short Screen from Europe and South America, in addition to different parts of the U.S.

Oh, btw: just quoted you on Shadow Stocks.

It got me thinking about non-traditional, and perhaps more cost-effective, means of marketing a product. Particularly one without a bricks-and-mortar presence. I don't know what the cost breakdowns are, but I imagine it would be less expensive to get a sponsored Google link based on specific search terms (like “short advice”) than buying ad space on some financial website. Better-targeted to boot. Just a thought from a non-professional.
